A Christian View of 2022 - #25
“What”? asked in shock and unbelief sends waves of uncertainty, feelings beyond expression through the soul.
What just happened? What is going on? Reason is overcome by a rush of emotions. Results defy every point of reference or known reality.
We are left with a WHAT? that is loud, languishing and looking for answers.
The “What” that has been unanswered has not been unheard. Father knows!
The “What” that has broken your heart kneels before the God who cares!
The “What” that threatens to lock the door on your future cannot snatch tomorrow from the mighty hand of God.
Job’s “what?” came to rest in the God who restores what was lost and heals the broken heart.
The silent “What?” from the woman at the well - what has my life accomplished - broken relationships, battered reputation - met the Master, drank from the living water and never would thirst again.
What? - ah, no matter what the “what” is that brings you to the edge of exhaustion, to the brink of brokenness - don’t quit, don’t permit the pain and poison to permeate your soul.
My dear Friend - let me put what has happened to you beside what God can do!
Psalm 56:11 KJV
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
How can I close the question “What?” without this simple, Spirit-breathed song.
Someone’s soul needs to sing this song and be reminded of the Savior …
IT IS NO SECRET
Words and music by Stuart Hamblen
Verse 1
The chimes of time ring out the news;
Another day is through.
Someone slipped and fell.
Was that someone you?
You may have longed for added strength,
Your courage to renew.
Do not be disheartened,
For I bring hope to you.
Chorus;
It is no secret what God can do.
What He's done for others,
He'll do for you.
With arms wide open,
He'll pardon you,
It is no secret what God can do.
Verse 2
There is no night,
For in His light, you'll never walk alone;
Always feel at home wherever you may roam.
There is no pow'r can conquer you,
While God is on your side;
Just take Him at His promise,
Don't run away and hide.
“What?” - You thought you could suffocate my hope … No, be still my soul and rest in what God will yet do!
